A well-established manufacturing company specialising in high-end aluminum, wood, and textile-based products is looking to appoint a seasoned Senior Procurement & Warehouse Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is a senior-level opportunity suited to an individual with strong experience across both procurement and warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on operational expertise with strategic thinking to drive efficiency, cost control, and supply chain performance.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 5–7 years’ relevant experience, including at least 3–5 years in a senior or leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory control, and warehouse management best practices
  • Experience with imports, supplier negotiations, and logistics coordination

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Supply Chain Management

  • Oversee and optimise the full procurement function, including raw materials and non-stock purchasing
  • Develop and manage monthly procurement plans aligned with sales forecasts, stock levels, lead times, and cash flow requirements
  • Ensure procurement processes comply with internal approval frameworks and best practice standards
  • Monitor and improve supplier lead times, pricing, and service delivery

Warehouse & Inventory Control

  • Manage all warehouse operations, including goods receiving, storage, and stock movement processes
  • Maintain accurate inventory records with a target of 98%+ accuracy
  • Implement and oversee regular cycle counts and stock audits
  • Manage slow-moving and obsolete stock, including identification and disposal strategies
  • Ensure proper storage systems, labelling, and physical security of inventory

Costing & Financial Analysis

  • Analyse material usage variances and provide monthly reporting
  • Support pricing models and cost analysis in collaboration with the Finance team
  • Contribute to improving product margins and overall profitability
  • Work closely with Product Development to ensure accurate costing of new and revised products

Inbound Logistics

  • Manage local and international inbound logistics processes
  • Maintain relationships with logistics providers and ensure SLAs are in place
  • Monitor delivery performance and resolve service issues
  • Ensure compliance with import regulations and tariff classifications

Supplier & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms
  • Monitor supplier performance (OTIF, quality, pricing) and conduct regular reviews
  • Manage supplier audits and resolve non-conformance issues
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on supply chain improvements

Outsourced Production (Ex-Works)

  • Oversee stock control and reconciliation for outsourced production partners
  • Ensure agreements and controls are in place for all external providers
  • Manage stock movements and insurance requirements related to outsourced inventory

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement and warehouse team
  • Drive a high-performance, collaborative team culture
  • Manage staff performance, development, and attendance
  • Ensure confidentiality and professionalism across the department

Remuneration

R70,000 – R85,000 per month (CTC)
Salary will be aligned with experience, skills, and level of expertise.
