An established FMCG business based in Centurion, Gauteng is looking for a Sales Data Analyst with FMCG Business, Finance, Marketing and Analytical skills and experience to join their growing business on a permanent basis.

This role will ensure the collection, analysis and reporting of sales related data (internal & customer data) in an ongoing effort to increase overall sales productivity, profitability and provide support to the sales team. This role will also develop and track sales metrics to improve decision.

SALARY – R25 to R30k/month, dependent on experience

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED          

  • BCom Marketing and Analytics Degree Marketing or any other relevant tertiary business-related qualification
  • 3-5 years Sales or Marketing Analytics experience in a FMCG field
  • Product analysis- costing and profitability analysis
  • Data analytics and modeling
  • Sales and marketing systems
  • Market research methodology
  • Competitor analysis
  • SPSS, QlikView, MIS and M'S Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Collection, Analysis & Reporting              

  • Advanced use of statistical analyses tools/applications, i.e. MiniTab, SPSS, Excel, etc.
  • Provide general sales reporting and analysis that assists in monitoring sales performance through the sales information system.
  • Provide data and analytical support for internal presentations and business reviews.
  • Create dashboards, measures and reports as required/requested to support analysis and decision-making.
  • Channel data analysis, product movement, customer and consumer purchase data, consumer behaviour, etc.
  • Assists with interpretation and strategic insight from the myriad data types that are available.
  • Assists in the identification and development of business opportunities through analysis and interpretation of customer, market and consumer data.
  • Sales forecasting to facilitate accurate production planning.
  • Attend sales calls/meetings with sales team as required.
  • Monitors/maintains a customer specific data base.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of promotional efforts in the market using available data sources.
  • Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications

Reporting Specifics     

  • Customer sales performance review documents & ppts.
  • Key account master listing schedule (customer, product).
  • Customised Reports.
  • Board sales report (by customer / region) – QlikView.
  • Audit sales report – QlikView.
  • Sales report – QlikView.
  • Quarterly report – QlikView.
  • Profitability reports by channel.
  • Category sales report by butchery.
  • Profitability reports for butcheries by Stock Keeping Unit.

Trade Marketing         

  • Develop, Manage and implement National Promotions calendar across all Retailers in line with Marketing Campaigns.
  • Track and Report results of National Promotions.
  • Support Marketing team with all Retail Activations.
  • Manage and Implement all Spaza branding & activations in the informal channel.
  • Manage all Trade Marketing related deliverables as required by Sales including Trade Presenters, Product Catalogues etc.
