An established and rapidly expanding international commercial property research and technology business is looking to employ a Sales & Business Development Representative to join their Durban based team on a permanent basis. The client offers technology products and solutions to commercial real estate professionals, including Agents, Valuers, Property Owners and Tenants.
The initial sales target market will be Australia as a starting point, then New Zealand, Singapore, Middle East, Africa and Europe.
Responsibilities
- Make service and product introduction calls (telephone and email) to new and existing customers.
- Qualify sales leads for the Senior Business Development teams based locally and internationally to follow up upon.
- Work with key existing clients across the commercial real estate sector to understand their technology, data & analytical requirements.
- Provide and relay client feedback and insights back to the relevant Chief Product Officers in order to improve the client’s solutions offering.
- Provide feedback to the sales and technology teams regarding market needs changes.
- Handle and convert inbound calls and queries into saleable business opportunities.
- Perform prospect researching via the companies CRM database and your own research efforts.
- Senior Business Development appointment scheduling
- Coordinate customer training with key clients to ensure they optimally utilize the products and service on offer.
- Maintain and manage customers relationships.
Requirements
- Min one to two years Commercial Real Estate experience.
- Software, technology or analytics services sales experience will be highly beneficial, but not essential.
- Excellent people and communication skills.
- Ability to present to a diverse audience with poise and confidence.
- Ability to drive and persist with new market cold calling.
- Computer skills including experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, and a general understanding of CRM’s.
Other information
- Business Hours - Take note that due to the geographic location of the Australian target market, non-standard South African working hours will be adhered to. Shifts can therefore either start at 12am or 4am. Working hours will change as the target markets changes.
- Travel - Business Development Representatives may be selected to travel to target market countries, currently Australia and New Zealand.
- Salary: R20k to R35k basic/month, dependent on experience, plus monthly commission earnings.
