A well-established residential property company is actively seeking a committed Property Repairs & Maintenance Administrator for a permanent position. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the repairs and maintenance team.
The company is located in Somerset West.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Attend to all day-to-day maintenance requests and reported issues
- General Office Admin
- Obtain quotations by the responsible parties for damages and repairs on the property
- Submit quotations to managing agents and insurance for approval.
- Assign approved contractors.
- Dealing with contractors on interim and exit inspections.
- Follow up by contractors for sending necessary documentation on work completed
- Liaise with tenants / agents / owners / management regarding maintenance queries.
- Ensure all EXIT inspections are received, scheduled, and completed for your allocated portfolio.
- Communication to owners regarding insurance claims.
- Meetings with Building Managers/Caretakers
- Quarterly site visit with Portfolio Manager or as required
Requirements:
- At least 2 years experience in a similar position
- Qualification / Experience in the real estate or Sectional Title environment will be highly advantageous
- Excellent computer literacy (MS Word & Excel)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English & Afrikaans)
- Must be able to cope under pressure and have excellent problem solving skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license with own reliable transport
- Willing to work after hours if needed
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
Salary: R14k – R18k p/month, dependent on skills and experience
