An established manufacturing business based in Montague Gardens, Cape Town is seeking to employ an experienced Production Manager on a permanent basis.

This position is ideally suitable for a Production Manager in a manufacturing or industrial environment, particularly where operational efficiency, quality management, safety, union engagement will be key business drivers.

The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling all manufacturing activities to ensure products are produced safely, efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The role includes leadership of production teams, health and safety compliance, labour relations, continuous improvement, and overall operational excellence.

Salary – Total cost to company budget of R40,000 to R60,000 per month dependent on skills, experience, and qualifications.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading and supervising production staff to achieve daily production targets.
  • Monitoring and improving employee productivity, quality, and overall output.
  • Ensuring production schedules are met safely, efficiently, and on time.
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness, and workplace organisation throughout the production areas.
  • Enforcing company procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.

  • Strong background in health and safety management
  • Experience with quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies
