An established and growing Finance and Advisory business based in Somerset West / Cape Town is recruiting for a JSE Sponsor to join their team on a permanent basies.  All applicants must be relevantly qualified and have at least 1 year experience in a similar role.

The position is a rare role for a talented commercially minded professional to join a premier corporate finance team. As a member of our corporate finance team, you will join a team that provides bespoke advice to listed entities on listings, delistings, B-BBEE transactions, capital raisings, secondary placements, rights offers, M&A transactions, schemes of arrangements, section 112 disposals and other corporate finance transactions.

The role will require advising clients on the JSE Listings Requirements, fulfilling the role and duties of a JSE Sponsor, advising clients on their continuing obligations, drafting of circulars, drafting of announcements, project management of corporate actions, reviewing financial statements, drafting and reviewing transactional and corporate finance documentation, including legal agreements, term sheets and the like. The role will also include advising clients on the CTSE Listing Requirements and the Takeover Regulations.

Requirements / Preferences

  • Experience in a JSE sponsor / designated advisory role – essential;
  • Knowledge of and experience with the JSE Listings Requirements – essential;
  • Appropriate tertiary qualification – essential;
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant aspects of the Companies Act – essential;
  • JSE Approved Executive – preferred;
  • Knowledge of and experience with the Takeover Regulations - preferred;
  • Knowledge of and experience with the CTSE Listing Particulars - preferred;
  • Commercial law experience – preferred.
