An excellent opportunity exists for a experienced Debtors Administrator or Debtors Clerk to join a fast growing medium size accounting, audit and consulting business in Somerset West. 

The firm operates within a large variety of industries, ranging from, accounting, tax administration and planning, business and transactional consulting, secretarial services, wills, estate planning and administration.

The ideal candidate should be experienced in the debtors clerk function, must be tech savvy, have solid system experience and good working on new systems. We are looking for a bright individual who wishes to learn and grown within this company that’s well-established but expanding.

Duties:

  • Taking a proactive role in managing and collecting debts of company debtors.
  • Following up payments as needed.
  • Responding to relevant client enquiries.
  • Processing and reconciliation of invoices.
  • Managing changes in client payment methods.
  • Checking and posting of receipts to accounting systems.
  • Preparation of statements, client status reports and all relevant information as required.
  • Managing sales ledger.
  • Compile management reports in Excel by consolidating multiple reports.
  • Providing administrative support to the team.

Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma/Certificate in related field will be an advantage.
  • 2+ years debtors and credit control experience.
  • Bookkeeping experience will be an advantage.
  • Computer Literacy Software - Microsoft Word, Excel, Xero
  • Excellent Afrikaans & English communication skills, both written and verbally.
  • Detail orientated.
  • Team player that can work independently.
  • Work efficiently under pressure.
  • Deadline and target driven.

Salary – R20 000 to R25 000 / month depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
