An established Blinds & Shuttering business is seeking to permanently employ an experienced B2B Commercial Sales Consultant in Cape Town.

This role’s mission is to identify and establish relationships with key stakeholders involved in commercial scale projects, cultivating leads (business development), converting these opportunities into sales (projects) and project managing converted projects to completion (installation, final invoicing and payment).

Location – Cape Town

Industry – Manufacturing (Aluminium, wood, plastic & textile)

Department – Sales, Business Development & Account Management

Reports To – Head of Sales & Marketing

Salary – R30,000 to R40,000 basic salary, plus company benefits, plus sales uncapped sales commission earnings.

Responsibilities

  • Champion new business from order to execution and after-sales support.
  • Business development: Identify new business opportunities within large scale commercial projects (developments and tenders). Build and manage a pipeline consistently as these projects turn slowly in conversion and project duration.
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders within commercial scale projects, championing the business and product offerings. Stakeholders range from architects and interior designers to QS and construction site managers.
  • Provide recommendations on product/s application.
  • Understand product price points and discount strategy to enable effective price negotiations.
  • Drive Project Management from inception to completion on all projects.
  • Continuously network and strengthen business relationships.
  • Participate in all developmental programmes implemented by the Company.
  • Deliver weekly sales pipeline funnel reporting.
  • Keep National Marketing and Sales Manager apprised of all matters pertaining to projects sales.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Sales, Marketing, Projects Management and/or at least 3 to 5 years relevant experience.
  • Industry experience in window and door covering market.
  • Experience in commercial scale projects that require knowledge of construction would be a plus.
  • Self-motivated and deadline driven.
  • Numerical ability.
  • High levels of attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across multiple projects.
  • Project management ability.
  • Excellent communicator and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
