An advanced agricultural services business specializing in various precision farming solutions and services who operates throughout South Africa is seeking to employ a GIS Software Support & Trainer on a permanent basis. This position will be based in either Gauteng or Limpopo.

This position is responsible for client training and the technical support of GIS software queries from clients, agronomists and agents. This is a great opportunity to learn and experience the high-tech end of the agricultural sector in a dynamic and rapidly growing company.

A successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills to liaise with relevant stakeholders, a good understanding of GIS software and functions, highly evolved problem-solving skills, and be able to function well both as part of a team or individually. Duties & responsibilities

  • Training clients and agents on bespoke agricultural GIS software (face to face or remotely)
  • Client communication & support (Call, WhatsApp and Face to Face Support)
  • Solving end user queries (immediate solutions)
  • GIS data uploads, QA & capturing

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in GIS/Geomatics/Teacher (B.Ed)/trainer experience with GIS Software.
  • Experience in the agricultural industry would be advantageous, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and technical problem-solving skills.
  • High proficiency in GIS and Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to maintain high standards under pressure.
  • Must be willing to travel and have your own reliable transport.

Remuneration - R17k to R25k basic, dependent on skills and experience
