An excellent opportunity exists for a Tax Administrator /Compliance Officer to join a well-established medium sized and fast-growing accounting firm in Somerset West.

The firm specialised in services ranging from audit, accounting, tax administration and planning, business and transactional consulting, secretarial services, wills, estate planning, and administration.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • General tax admin & company secretarial responsibilities
  • CIPC submissions
  • Handling of SARS registrations, admin queries, submissions of documentation
  • Tax Clearance for Companies, Trusts and Individuals
  • Address Outstanding Tax Returns
  • Complete Income Tax returns and Provisional Tax returns based on financial statements and tax computation provided
  • Deal with queries from SARS relating to Income Tax returns completed
  • NOO and SOP submissions against additional assessments raised by SARS
  • Monitor the submission of returns ensuring that they are submitted timeously and correctly in line with Financial Statements;
  • Downloading correspondence/statements and drafting responses where required;
  • Loading payments on e – Filing
  • Preparing documentation for Verifications/Audits
  • Any other tasks to ensure SARS Compliance
  • eFiling registrations
  • Apply for tax compromises
  • Communicate monthly Income Tax, Provisional Tax, and payments due to relevant parties
  • Updating of client payments to SARS on ProfTax system
  • Other tax, admin & finance related responsibilities

Requirements

  • Matric
  • Tertiary qualification in bookkeeping, accounting and or tax will be beneficial
  • Registered Tax Practitioner will be highly desirable
  • Min 3 years’ experience in the same or similar role
  • Work experience in an accounting firm will be highly desirable
  • SARS e-filling & CIPC submission experience
  • Trust Administration knowledge would be beneficial

Salary – R25,000 to R35,000 per month, negotiable based on experience.
