Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Financial Manager to join a leader in the technology sector.

The company is looking for an experienced finance professional with strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and costing experience. Someone with the aptitude to drive a complex and fast growing business, reporting to Exco and has potential for future finance director role. Prior NPC, NGO, foundation experience will be advantageous.

Functions, Duties and Responsibilities

The functions, duties and responsibilities listed below are not exhaustive and the Financial Manager will also be required to perform other duties, which may not be included herein, as required from time to time or as is consistent with this position.

Finance Function

  • Manage the full finance function of the Company. This includes all aspects of the business involving financial issues.
  • Analysis and review of monthly management accounts.
  • Monthly cash flow forecast.
  • Management of annual audit.
  • Management of annual Income Tax submission by auditors.
  • Co-ordination of secretarial requirements with auditors.
  • Oversight of quarterly reporting to Jobs Fund.
  • Oversight of credit control function.
  • Oversight and continuous assessment of all finance processes.
  • Oversight of internal controls at all locations.
  • Oversight of ABC principles and project costing allocations.
  • Oversight of loan recoverability – Jobs Fund.
  • Financial Reporting to all funders.
  • Approval of VAT submissions.
  • Management of procurement function.
  • Management of budget process and reporting vs actuals.
  • Sign off all H/O costs.
  • Optimisation of cash flow and interest income.
  • Reconciliation of cash flow per business unit.
  • Manage relationship with financial institutions.
  • Staff management.

Minimum Education:

  • Qualified and registered CA(SA).
  • Expert MS Excel skills essential (Pivot tables, Data Management, V-Lookup, H-Lookup, Macros, etc.).

Experience and Character

  • 6+ years’ post articles financial management experience.
  • Strong financial reporting experience.
  • Capable builder of reporting dashboards.
  • System process and improvements.
  • Strategic thinker with exceptional communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
  • Proven success with stakeholder engagement with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate dialogue, decisions, and action across a wide stakeholder spectrum, including those who are not financially minded.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Advanced computer literacy.
  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of accounting principles.
