3-year SAIPA Training Contracts are available to Graduates who have completed an Accounting/Auditing degree at university.

This well-established accounting practice located in Caledon, is seeking to employ a Trainee Accountant that would like to complete their SAIPA articles. 

The firm is looking for a self-confident individual with a completed accounting degree, who likes to work as part of a team, but is also willing to take initiative and capable of working independently.

The appointee will be responsible for the performing of various functions within the business and will report directly to the partners.


  • BCom Accounting, B Accounting or similar degree
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Driver’s licence and own transport

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Produce client reports
  • Perform accounting work
  • Administrative duties
  • Full bookkeeping and accounting function up to trial balance, including debtors, creditors, bank, petty cash, journals, etc.
  • Handling of VAT and PAYE reviews
  • Invoicing and debtors’ collection
  • IRP5 calculations, reconciliations and submissions
  • Liaison with clients
  • Maintenance of SARS accounts
  • PAYE/UIF/SDL calculations and EMP201 submissions
  • Registration and deregistration for Income Tax, PAYE, VAT and Import and Export licenses
  • Tax clearance applications
  • UIF registration and administration
  • VAT calculations and VAT201 submissions
  • WCA registrations, submission of returns and arranging letters of good standing

Salary – R8k to R12k, negotiable and depending on qualifications and experience.
