A large mid-tier assurance, accounting and advisory firm in Cape Town is seeking to employ an Operations Administrator who will serve as link between the audit partners, admin staff and other relevant stakeholders. The purpose of this role is to provide administrative and finance admin (WIP) support to the Heads of Audit and allocated Partners.

The ideal candidate will have the relevant qualifications, experience, have a strong systems background and will be at an advanced Excel level.

This dynamic firm is a leader in their chosen markets, providing assurance, tax, advisory and outsourcing services to dynamic organisations, including listed companies, large privately held businesses and private equity-backed organisations. They also have significant capabilities in the public sector market.

Tasks:

  • Manage Input – time clerks charge to codes / process
  • Timesheet analysis
  • Monitor efficiencies
  • Meeting billing deadlines
  • WIP administration
  • Writing off of WIP
  • WIP provisions
  • Work with (profit) margin committee re issues
  • Planner board optimisation
  • Operational Project Manager
  • Manage billing tool
  • Processing purchases orders
  • Actual vs. Budgeted Revenue
  • Invoicing
  • Management of Debtors
  • Correspondence and communication with clients, suppliers, staff, PowerPoint presentations
  • Work in progress management
  • Performing reconciliation between in-house systems
  • Coordination of departmental meetings
  • Collating and preparing reports
  • Prepare documentation such as agenda, presentations for meetings and word / excel documents
  • Ensuring that Client queries are dealt with timeously
  • Assist partner in fostering good client relationships
  • Minute taking
  • Create and maintain filing system
  • Process payment request when required
  • Ad hoc administration

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary degree
  • 2+ years’ experience in similar role
  • Excel advanced level
  • Systems background

Salary – R20k to R25k pm ctc.
