The ideal candidate is a CA(SA) and is highly driven. You’ll be responsible for the analysis and management of all actuarial and financial activities related to the finance function of the company.

Duties
- Responsible for the financial accounting and management teams to ensure accurate financial record keeping and timely reporting.
- Review and authorizing of weekly payments.
- Preparation of finance applications
- Responsible for overall tax compliance by the group
- Financial Analysis
- Producing timely and relevant management accounts and control which includes margin analysis, project profitability, etc.
- Preparation of Audit packs
- Liaising with external auditors and drawing of documentation
- Development of innovative commercial structures which facilitate projects
- Preparation of annual financial statements according to IFRS for SME’s
- Budget and Cashflow Management
- Group Consolidations
- Interrogation of the reported monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual results.
- Prepare audit documentation for external auditors
- VAT and Tax
Qualifications
- CA(SA) designation
- 2-5 years post articles experience
- 1 year min in the commercial space advantageous
- Property experience would be beneficial
- Advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office, CaseWare and Xero).
- Professional/proven communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to multi-task.

- Experience in a commercial environment, with responsibility/exposure to key aspects of complex accounting & actuarial processes including developing & implementing effective work processes, procedures and controls.
- Experience in regulatory reporting.
- Technical experience with IFRS 17.
- Experience in the compilation and submission of tax returns.
- Knowledge of accounting systems (e.g. Pastel Evolution).
- Understanding of SAM regulations.
- Make commercial recommendations in line with the company’s strategy to enable growth of shareholder value, as per the organisation’s business strategy supporting financial architecture.
- Assume responsibility for the overall integrity and operation of both the financial and actuarial reporting for the company.
- Contribute strategically to the achievement of the company’s vision and goals by guiding business decision-making.
- All financial reporting responsibilities at a group level.
Salary – R480 000 p.a. – R720 000 p.a. (negotiable)
