A rapidly expanding transport and logistics brokering service based in Bellville, Cape Town is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator with solid experience in Container Transport to join their growing team.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process orders (ANF’s).
- Monitor and follow up on Navis updates.
- Coordinate with clearing agents to assign transporters on Navis.
- Coordinate with clearing agents to obtain turn-in addresses.
- Track stacks and last free days on Navis.
- Monitor vessel updates from TPT.
- Monitor and address customs-stopped containers.
- Coordinate with clearing agents for customs release documents (DRO).
- Coordinate with storage depots for storage and handling.
- Coordinate with depots for bookings of LCL cargo.
- Update tracking and dates on system.
- Ensure correct turn-in of empty containers to the appropriate depot.
Requirements
- The incumbent need to have at least 2 years’ extensive experience in container transport operations.
- Clearing and forwarding experience will be advantageous.
- Position will be based in Cape Town.
Salary: R25,000 to R35,000 per month, negotiable and based on experience.
